WHO ~ KNEW?

I am a single mother who recently moved to bradenton florida and am being asked to leave from my friend who has given us a place to stay for 1 month and we found that we cant live under the same roof. She has asked me to leave and said it must be tomorrow. I have no place to go and a 1 year old daughter and am asking for any type resource to get my own place I dont have any money or a job and need help asap. Can any one help me !!!!

I can't see how "you people" can be so helpful and kind to all these other people and you were so cold and curl to me about the loss of my son. If you even remember me ,I have deleted your comments and wasn't going to respond to the likes of you .And then I came across your profile and read all the wonderfull things youv'e done for everyone else. I'm so tired of people like you judgeing me , you think you know everything, and that you are some how better than me . You need to think you are doing something to help these people so that you can feel better about your self,because deep down you know you are worse than most of the people you think are beneith you. Hi there. Hope all is well. I am checking in to see if you may have some suggestions.I have to leave where im staying by April 15th and I truelly have no where for my daughter and I to go. I Have saught out shelters even and believe it or not there is a waiting list. Still not a penny for support from the ex and domestics in this state waits until there are quite a bit of arrears to enforce anything. Im at a loss. He says my our daughter can stay with him he doesnt care what happens to me. Only seperating us would ruin her mentally and he doesnt get that. Hi and thank you for reading. I am trying to find help for my best friend. He is the most caring for other people person I have ever meet and has help me very much. I love him dearly. My friend has low self esstem and feels ugly after a girl 4 years ago broke his heart by saying that he was the uglyiest person that she'd ever had been with. Can someone please help me find a solution to his problems. He has not had the dental care that is required in many years and I know that his mood and, outlook on life would improve only if he had more self confidence somthing that he says he's working on. You have to believe you are an incredible woman, there is nothing you can't do! Yes, you have suffered, but that will never stand in your way. You have conquered so many obstacles, so far, why do you let these small minded people trample your spirit? I have only 2 words for them - sorry, I can't repeat them here!

I don't know why people are allowed to suffer, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I do know that it does make you stronger. You have to know that your mom is in a beautiful place: no more fear, pain, or suffering. She watches over you with love. She is profoundly proud of you. She is with you always. She wants you to move on: get up, dust yourself off, and get moving. 

So how do you begin?  

Firsat of all you have custody. Is hubby paying support? If not, why not? Go to Child support and get it.  Make sure you get medical support and alimony for you, too! 

Now I know that takes awhile, so in the mean time, apply for social services - just until you get a job. Which by the way, they can help you find a job as well!

I can understand living with relatives- so you  have to find a new place to live! Social services may be able to help with this as well. But you can also check HUD

Subsidized housing is based on your income - the lower your income, the lower your rent.

Also for food, clothing or other misc. you can always check with the red cross in your area (online) they have a listing that you can search through to find exactly what you need.

My name is keri. Im 34 and a 13 year experienced dental assistant who is out of work and homeless with a beautifully talented and strong willed 8 year old daughter.  Last march to the day I lost my best friend and mother to cancer. She was 54 years old and the suffering she endured broke my spirit and beliefs and after three long years and a very positive outlook, she died miserably and painfully. I was diagnosed with lymes disease the same week she died and my ex spouse created a hell for me when i was already there by kidnapping pur daughter and claimimg to the courts i was unfit and on drugs due to the fact that i was ill and sad. I got custody of my daugher back and then lost my license and house due to tickets thath went unpaid because i could not work. I now live with my younger sister who treats my daughter like she is a piece of crap and my self esteem took the ultimate plunge.  My concern is not WHAT WILL I DO, i know i have a remarkable skill and will find work, my oncern is that i have no stable home for my child and she needs that more than anything to help her thru her grief and sadness and uplift her spiritually. Time is of the essence because my ex lives with his parents in a nice house and i fear another custody battle this time not ending so nice. He is angry and abusive but to the courts has more to offer her right now than I.    Please Help Me Find what I am Missing.  Something has to Give.  Ive been to all the outreach programs and It seems I just keep reaching with no one reaching back.  I am looking for work HARD> my family thinks i am lazy or not mentally stable.  Little do there judgements know I am super intelligent and will conquer this.  There faith in me maybe would have just spead it up. Now ill do it without them because im crushed at there implications.

My name is Deborah Conner I am disabled because of Bipolar with a panic disorder. I worked for over twenty years as a LPN but when my parented passed a way I had a nervous break down. I now need help with getting out of debt due to the depression that is always there. my sister need  help, she delivered a premi baby last  tuesday. her husband has been psycologic abuse her . they has been married for about 4 years and they use to live in port st lucie ,so i  did not know how long she has been abuse.
but he got her pregnat for a second time ,her firts kid is 2 1/2 years old,she was very sick during the pregnacy,she went several time to the emergency for i.v, they dont have health insurance .he was never there for her, he sent her with us to take cere of her. he never saw her pain and how sick she was.after she feel little better went back home ,he  did not good with his job  and he need to leave the house they were renting because  an ediction and she try to look  for  a place close to us in boca,he made her belive he will move too but when my sister rented the apparment on her name because his credit was bad,he said  he was no moving and blamed her for abandone her house over there,which it was no house because the ediction.around 1 moth and half ago he said he does not want to be  with her any more , adn took  marcus the toddler with him and treating her with his son ,money, inmigration papers,many others things ,he said she need to do  what he want it and kind of a free relastionship, we did two police stament about it ,thet did not do nothing ,they suggested  go  and ask for help to the court.she was pregnat sufering all this  and did not want to belived about she was abused by him.
after  a cople weeks he came back appologizing ,saying he want his kids and her back ,bla bla bla ,she accepted.he tried to work down here but i dont know what happen he want this free style relationship and my sister did not want it... so she was 35 weeks pregnat,worry go on delivery the baby, they are fine . he did not want to go to the birth he stay home with the toddler he was tired ...my  sister  and me takes turn  to helper . it was very sad...next day he go to visit her at the hospital with the toddler,i was there, and he told her he needs to go to port st lucie to work and he will take the kid with him and he will be back by sunday, my sister did not wanted but he is the father,he left ,call her later told her he rented a place  there and he will keep his son and she can keep the new born,he did not want to tell her an address, and again started with this roller coster of emotions,he did not pay the  rent or bills .he is trating her again with money ,kids...when she was dischared by the hospital the baby stay one more day,i was there taking her several time to  carry the breast milk to the hospital, i went and took her home and he took all his belonings and left her with out even letting her now...
he call her  say he love her but he can not be with her,after he get nasty again.he is a sociopath, he has not  remorse for somebody pain not so ever,i spoked with him to asking him to stop all this ,he said  he is not doing nothing,this is his moment and opportunity and he need to take it.
he full his mouth about he want  the best for his kids wich is  a lye,today he said he will pay the rent  later he said no.he told my sister he want to have his kids 50% of the time because that way he will not pay her child support... and gave her 1 month to get a job
he did not pay nothing up to day,my sister is still very sore phisical and spiritual,she is breast feeding a baby...he left his kid yesterday with her ...but he will come back to take him back to port st lucie and  we dont know where.
we dont have money to help her, we can help with some food ,diaper,and babysitting some times
we dont know what to do,she said she will do all for keep her kids with her and get a job ... she need some direction and help to keep her away of that monster

Re Cavaliers Dear Who Knew You are a better person than I am. I just do not even have the energy to respond to someone with such unrealistic expectations about receiving almost 200,000.00 from some benevolent aidmate. It is a shame that she would expect so much from strangers and so little of those nearest and dearest to her. She is not helping them to grow by allowing them not to step up to the plate and pitch in. Those lessons are just as valuable if not more than what she is trying to give them by protecting them from reality. You can be very direct at times but offer much wisdom in your truth. You seem to be very judgmental and defensive when questioned. I was merely asking questions and offering my observations due to your lack of information. If you read the entire post you would see that I offered suggestions. You are young, healthy, and according to you, educated. Your military discharge was over 15 years ago, why did you leave? Why didn't you stay in? You stated "April I find out that the love of my life is messing around on me and we break up, she takes both kids with her and moves out and takes income with her that was promised to the landlord and cable" Therefore, you were NOT the SOLE source of income and could not afford the apartment on your own. My observation was that you need to learn how to be independent. Yet your first reaction is to attack me - WHY? Also, Pennsylvania DOES have alimony or spousal support. Regarding the lemon law - I do stand corrected, in PA, it does apply only to NEW vehicles, however did you do a background check on the vehicle prior to your purchase? Did you get any type of warranty? Did you have a mechanic check out the vehicle prior to your purchase? Yes, hindsight is 20/20, but moving forward, perhaps you might be more careful in ALL your actions and decisions rather than lashing out at those who will not fall for your "poor me" attitude and expect you to act like the man you are supposed to be.

If you were affected by hurricane katrina there are still many programs out there that are available - I'm especially concerned about your home because I know that there are some programs that are helping those who are having trouble meeting their mortgage payments. The best thing for you to do is to check with both FEMA and your state's website to see what grant and funding programs are available for you.

Do you know of any services that can help me pay for the cost for diagnostic services for a lump in my breast. My doctor is concerned as I had a swollen limphnode on the same side...but I cannot afford the biopsy or the ultrasound. Do you know of any programs that are specific to the diagnostic care of breast disease? I've tried for medicaid for six months and nobody returns the phone calls...it's too much of a buracracy to work through and the situation has become urgent. Please help.

To: Who Knew, I totally agree with your post concerning 'average family'. While most of us 'worked' to get where we are, she just thinks 'we are supposed to hand out our hard-earned money to her'. We have an epidemic of 'irresponsible people', she seems to be in that category. She needs to understand this concept: 'No one owes anyone anything'. If someone tries to help someone it is out of the goodness of their hearts and the 'giftee' should express gratitude. I thank you and admire you for all the hardwork you have done to help others. I believe we should extend one a 'hand', not an 'ongoing handout'. Averagefamily has the WRONG name listed. Because in the 'averagefamily', both parents work to provide for the family! As for "average family", she is the epitome of the clueless mentality that I originally posted about. She is the type of person whose situation will never change (probably only get worse) and all she will do is blame others for her misfortune. I can certainly stand up against the likes of her and any one else that comes along to try and mar my character, but it warms my heart to see the show of support - THAT is what aidpage is SUPPOSED to be about.
